The Courses

Howdy,

My role is to bring new students into the Texas A&M Engineering Program with one foundational Engineering Course during each of their first three semesters.

Students completing a full four semester sequence at the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham will construct a knowledge and skillset foundation that is a key to success for moving on to their specialty on the College Station campus.  Courses involve exposure to:

– Computer coding and programming construction techniques,

– Engineering-focused problem-solving,

– Functioning in various team roles,

– Roles of engineers in society,

– Effectively communicating analysis results,

– Application of mechanical and electrical physics concepts, and

– Engineering ethics.

The course sequence is:

ENGR 102 – Computer Program Design and Application with  Python

CLEN 181 – Student Success Seminar

ENGR 216 – Laws of Physical Motion Lab

ENGR 217 – Laws of Electricity and Magnetism Lab
